Privacy Policy and terms


  1. You must be 18 years or older to make a booking with SAUNA By GoBoat.
  2. All prices displayed are subject to change without notice before a booking is confirmed.
  3. The person making the booking is classed as the “Renter” in any booking which includes more than one person. You (the Renter) guarantee that you have the authority to accept these Use Terms on behalf of each member of your group using SAUNA By GoBoat. You will be the primary contact with GoBoat and will accept any communications/correspondence from GoBoat on behalf of your entire party.
  4. At the time of booking, you must provide GoBoat with your contact details.


  1. Valid passport or picture ID.
  2. Confirmation e-mail of your booking, including the door code.
  3. If you do not appear to possess the correct documentation or do not meet all relevant requirements of these Use Terms, you will not be allowed to rent the sauna.


  1. The renter is responsible for the sauna and for actions from each member of the group. The renter carries all the responsibility. 
  2. In case of accidents or damage to the sauna by the Renter, you need to immediately notify GoBoat and report all details and wait for further instructions – do not take action on your own initiative. We will take steps to repair the sauna as quickly as possible given the circumstances. In situations where it is not possible for GoBoat to repair the sauna or remedy the situation immediately GoBoat shall not be responsible for the consequences of delays or cancellation
  3. GoBoat is exempt from responsibility in case of flaws and deficiencies due to the renter’s actions, force majeure, or alike situations. Moreover, GoBoat is exempted from responsibility in case the renter suffers any damage. 
  4. The Renter is responsible for any damage to the sauna and its equipment; in case of damage you will have to pay for any and all damages. Examples of pricing are but not limited to:
    1. Oven: From 2.300 EUR ex VAT
    2. Door lock: From 1.200 EUR ex VAT
    3. VELUX upper window: From 3.500 EUR ex VAT
    4. Other windows: From 1.900 EUR ex VAT
    5. Dipping zone: From 1.9000 EUR ex VAT
  5. We strongly recommend that you have adequate insurance in case of damages.


When you trade with GoBoat as a private client, the following cancellation policy is in place: 

  1. It is possible to cancel up to 5 days before your reservation starts, where the booking amount will be refunded. You can also rebook.
  2. Up to 72 hours before your reservation starts it is possible to change your booking to another day or timeslot, providing there are any free spots available. In the order confirmation you will find a link where you can edit your booking. 
  3. 72 hours prior to the reservation starts your purchase becomes non-refundable as the purchase is considered consumed and you acknowledge that you lose your right to a refund.
  4. To exercise the right to the refund 5 days prior to you reservation you must notify us of your decision to cancel by an unequivocal statement, e.g. letter sent by email to info@goboat.de specifying your name, email and the unique booking code for the reservation we have provided to you. 
  5. In case of a refund of the amount to the buyer, it takes up to 14 days from the date we have received the cancellation until the amount is transferred to the account.
  6. The deadline for refund is met if you send your notice of cancellation before the cancellation period has expired.
  7. If you are eligible for a refund, the amount will generally be returned automatically to the payment card you originally used to pay the order. Alternatively we will contact you and ask for your bank information. We will then need the following information: (i) name of the bank, (ii) registration number (4 digits), (iii) account number (10 digits).
  8. Please note that gift cards and any kind of vouchers made are non-refundable. Otherwise applicable law regarding refunds/returns of online purchases within Europe of 14 days, does not apply to this.
  9. Gift cards must be used before the expiration date.


  1. You are required to always wear swimwear in the sauna and when using the showers. Nudity is not permitted. The swimwear must be clean. It is not allowed to wear outdoor footwear in the sauna. 
  2. Guests are required to bring a bath towel as well as a towel to sit on (towels can be bought from GoBoat) as it is not allowed to sit directly on the woodwork without a towel between the woodwork and the guest 
  3. Food is not allowed in the sauna 
  4. Regarding alcoholic beverages, you may only drink beer, Rosé or white wine – no hard liquor allowed. Drink responsibly.
  5. The sauna heater is electric, therefore please respect the sign that says how much liquid you may pour on it.
  6. Leave the sauna immediately if you start to feel dizzy, nauseous or strangely uncomfortable
  7. There must be one person over the age of 18 present in the sauna at all times
  8. It is not allowed to throw trash in the water. 
  9. Please respect our neighbours by minimizing loud behavior. Small music players are allowed in the sauna, not outside.
  10. You are only allowed to pee on public toilets. It is strictly forbidden to pee on private property areas and/or around and in the sauna.
  11. At the end of the rental period it is your own responsibility to ensure that you collect all your items of personal belongings from the sauna; GoBoat accepts no responsibility for any items left in the sauna.
  12. GoBoat may at its absolute discretion refuse to hand over the sauna or terminate the rental agreement in advance where, in the opinion of GoBoat, the Renter or any person in the group is likely to cause damage, distress or fails to comply with company rules; in such event GoBoat will be under no obligation to refund any amount.
  13. The sauna must not be used for commercial use without prior written permission from GoBoat.
  14. The last 10 minutes of your booking is reserved for cleaning which is free and GoBoat will administer. Therefore, you must leave the entire sauna area 10 minutes before your booking ends.


  1. All prices are incl. VAT.
  2. Payment can be made using the following payment methods: Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro, JCB and American Express.
  3. The rental, events and any other items are paid for in advance.


  1. “Personal Data” means any data, content, code, video, images or other materials of any type that you upload, submit or otherwise transmit to GoBoat Berlin.
  2. You grant to GoBoat a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to (a) collect, use, copy, store, transmit, modify and create derivative works of Personal Data; and (b) to share Personal Data or interact with other people, to distribute and publicly perform and display Personal Data as the Customer’s information; and (c) use such Personal Data for marketing purposes. GoBoat may also access the Customer’s account or instance in order to respond to the Customer’s support requests.
  3. The Customer warrants and represents to GoBoat Berlin, that the Customer is legally entitled to share such personal data with the Customer (including cross-border transfer of data where contemplated).


  1. GoBoat’s liability shall be limited to a maximum amount equal to the fees paid by you under these Terms of Use or if no fees has been received then EUR 135
  2. In no event shall GoBoat be liable, whether in contract or tort, or otherwise for any incidental, indirect, consequential or unforeseeable loss, damage or expense, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss or corruption of data, however arising, even if advised of the possibility of such loss or damages being incurred.
  3. The remedies provided in these Use Terms are the exclusive remedies of the Parties.


  1. The laws of Germany (excluding its conflict of laws provisions) shall govern the construction and enforceability of these Terms of Use. Any action arising under or relating to these Terms of Use shall lie within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Berlin.


  1. If you experience errors or defects in the delivery from GoBoat Berlin, please feel free to contact us at info@goboat.de so we can find a satisfactory solution.
    1. If it is not possible to find a solution, we are subject to the following alternative dispute settlement body:

Privacy Policy


  1. We collect various pieces of information about you in connection with the operation of GoBoat. We collect information about you and your use of GoBoat in two ways: Through the so-called ‘cookies’ and through registration and use of GoBoat.
  2. Cookies are small bits of information that GoBoat places on your computer’s hard drive, on your tablet or on your smart phone. Cookies contain information that GoBoat uses to streamline communication between you and your web browser. The cookie does not identify you as an individual user but identifies your computer.
  3. There are two types of cookies – session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies are bits of information that are deleted when you close your web browser. Persistent cookies are bits of information that are stored on your computer until they are deleted. Persistent cookies delete themselves after a certain period of time but are renewed each time you visit GoBoat. GoBoat uses both temporary and persistent cookies.
  4. We use similar technologies that store and read information on the browser or device, which utilizes local units and local storage, such as HTML 5 cookies and other technologies. These technologies can work across your browsers. In some cases, the use of these technologies is not controlled by the browser but require special tools. We use these technologies to store information that is used to pick up irregularities in the use of GoBoat’s online properties.
  5. A cookie can contain text, numbers, or for example, a date, but there is no personal data contained in a cookie. It is not a programme and cannot contain viruses.
  6. When visiting GoBoat for the first time, you will automatically receive a cookie. We use cookies to customize and create content and services that match your interests. We also use cookies to create demographic and user-related statistics and thus determine who is visiting GoBoat. We record anonymous information such as number of bytes sent and received, internet host time, browser type, version, and language, etc.
  7. We use cookies:
    1. For statistics, i.e.: measuring traffic on GoBoat, including the number of visits to GoBoat, what domains visitors come from, what pages they look at on GoBoat and what general geographic area the user is in.
    2. To enhance the functionalities functionality: improve the functionality and optimize your experience of GoBoat
    3. For targeted marketing, i.e.: display specific marketing by GoBoat relevant for the user.
  8. GoBoat provides access for its third party’s suppliers to inspect the contents of the cookies that are set by GoBoat. This information shall be used exclusively on behalf of GoBoat and must not be used for the third party’s own purposes.

  12. GoBoat uses Google Analytics to analyse how users use GoBoat. The information generated by the cookie about your use (traffic data, including your IP address) is transmitted to and stored on Google’s servers in the United States. Google uses this information to evaluate your use of GoBoat, compiling reports on the activity of GoBoat and providing other services relating to the operation of GoBoat and internet use. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.
  13. Google Analytics sets two types of cookies: (a) persistent cookies providing information on whether the user is recurrent, where the user is coming from, which search engine is used, keywords, etc., and (b) session cookies that are used to show when and how long a user uses GoBoat. Session cookies expire after each session, that is, when you close your tab or browser. Google will not process your IP address with other data, Google holds.
  14. By using GoBoat you provide your consent to our use of cookies as described. If you no longer wish to consent to the use of cookies, deselect the cookies by modifying the settings in your browser.




  1. It is important for us to keep your personal data safe and confidential. We have procedures for collecting, storing, deleting, updating and disclosing personal data to prevent unauthorized access to your personal data and to comply with applicable laws.
  2. We ensure fair and transparent computing. When we ask you to provide us with your personal data, we will let you know what personal data we process about you and for what purpose such personal data is being processed. You will receive information about this at the time of collection of your personal data.
  3. The following guidelines describe the types of personal data we collect, how we process such personal data, and who you can contact, if you have any questions or comments about this Privacy Policy.

Customer Data:

  1. When you book a service of GoBoat or otherwise receive GoBoat services, we collect the following customer data about you: first name, last name, phone number, email and IP address. If you buy a gift card you may include the name for the receiver as well – this is not obligatory.

Booking Data:

  1. We collect the following data about you: date, start time, end time point, price, amount paid, comments, location (all “Booking Data”). In addition, we will collect information about boat number, the voltage level of the batteries in the boat, and GPS positions of the boat while you sail.

Other Personal Data:

  1. Additionally, we will automatically collect the following data in order to provide the GoBoat service, which may include:
    1. IP Address
    2. OS Name & Version
    3. Browser Name & Version
    4. Screen Resolution
    5. Language (based on headers sent by browser)
    6. Usage Date & Time
    7. Usage Flow (e.g. which presentations/slides were opened and in which order, which emails were opened and which links in emails were clicked, duration of time spent on presentations and specific slides etc.)
    8. Heat map (e.g. tracking of exactly what was clicked during the usage session, including links, images, selected areas of text etc.)


  1. We collect and store your personal data for specific purposes or other legitimate business purposes.
  2. Your personal data is collected and used for:
    1. to provide you with GoBoat service information about services offered on or through GoBoat and evaluations of these – the contract between you and GoBoat – as per Article 6 b&c of the Data Protection Regulation,
      1. Here we collect “Customer data”, “Booking data” to adhere to book keeping rules up to 5 years and “Other personal Data” as described above to improve our services for 1 year.
    2. News about GoBoat and to conduct research about GoBoat’s customer base or services – the permission you give GoBoat – as per Article 6 a of the Data Protection Regulation,
      1. Here we collect “Customer data”, “Booking data” to adhere to book keeping rules up to 5 years and “Other personal Data” as described above to improve our services for 1 year.
      2. Furthermore, we ask for demographic and interest data which are not obligatory to provide us with when you sign up for our newsletter (birthday, demographic data, your interests etc.). We store this for as long as you are signed up for the newsletter. In all newsletters from us you can at any time withdraw your permission.
    3. to fulfil your reservation and purchase requests and payments including credit checks and collection – the contract between you and GoBoat – as per Article 6 b&c of the Data Protection Regulation,
      1. Here we collect “Customer data”, “Booking data” to adhere to book keeping rules up to 5 years and “Other personal Data” as described above to improve our services for 1 year.
    4. to notify you of technical updates or changes in policy – the contract between you and GoBoat – as per Article 6 b&c of the Data Protection Regulation,

  3. In case of a contractual agreement between a company (not the employees) and GoBoat, GoBoat can collect the same data as in 2.1, 2.3 and 2.4 based on the basis of legitimate interest.
  4. We may use non-Personal Data to analyse and develop our marketing strategy and further improve GoBoat and our services.


Required Personal Data

  1. We verify that the personal data we process about you is correct and not misleading. We also make sure to update your personal data on a regular basis. We ask you to provide us with relevant changes to your personal data. You can use the contact details above to notify us of such changes.
  2. Your personal data will always be processed in accordance with good data processing practices (“God Databehandlingsskik”) and in accordance with applicable laws.
  3. Please note that: (1) there might be some latency in deleting this personal data from our servers and back-up storage, and (2) we may retain this personal data if necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.



  1. We collect Personal Data from the Data Subject when you book/activate the service we provide and when you and the Data Subject uses GoBoat.

Visit On Our Website

  1. When you visit GoBoat’s website, we collect “Other personal data” as described above and we also collect non-Personal Data, which is information that by itself cannot be used to identify or contact you, such as demographic information (e.g. age or gender) or usage information (e.g. the browser you are using, the URL that referred you to GoBoat and the areas of GoBoat you visit). We may also supplement the information we collect with information from other sources to assist us in evaluating and improving our Platform and offerings.


  1. If you sign up to receive GoBoat’s newsletters, your personal data is registered directly with GoBoat and our email marketing service Mailchimp. If you no longer wish to receive newsletters from GoBoat, you can unsubscribe at the bottom of all emails sent.
  2. You allow us to create custom audiences in social media based on your email-address through email upload. This is to improve our advertising relevense to you.


  1. GoBoat applies anonymization of data from customers for statistic and research purposes, as well as to improve systems, processors and products.
  2. GoBoat irrevocably anonymizes Personal Data in such a way that the Data Subject can no longer be identified after the deletion as described under purpose.
  3. For example, name, address or personal identification number will be replaced by a code, serial number, etc. Codes are assigned randomly and cannot be restored using lists, keys, etc., showing the relationship between the serial number and the actual identification information.



  1. We may disclose Personal Data to other companies or people under any of the following circumstances:
  • If sharing the information is reasonably necessary to provide or otherwise make available GoBoat and any feature of GoBoat or a service that you have requested.
  • If we are required to do so by law, in connection with litigation, to prevent a crime, or to protect personal property, the public, or GoBoat.
  • In connection with a sale or merger with another entity, consolidation, restructuring, sale of company assets, financing or other corporate change, including during the course of any due diligence process or if GoBoat should ever file for bankruptcy or related proceeding.
  • When we otherwise have the Data Subject’s consent to share the information.
  • GoBoat may also share non-Personal Data with third parties (e.g. aggregate or demographic data).

Disclosure For Legal Reasons

  1. We disclose Personal Data to companies, organizations or individuals outside of our group of companies if we believe in good faith that access, use, preservation or disclosure is necessary to: (1) comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request, (2) enforce applicable user terms, including investigation of potential violations, (3) register, prevent or otherwise protect against address fraud, security or technical issues, or (4) indemnifying us, our users or the public’s rights, property or safety, as required.



  1. You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data. You can also object to our disclosure of your personal data. You can use the contact information at the top of the Privacy Policy to send an objection to us. If your objection is justified, we will stop any processing of your personal data.

Insight, Etc.

If you contact GoBoat, GoBoat will inform you of what personal data of you GoBoat is processing, the purpose of the processing, who receives the personal data and the information om where from the personal data originates. We will reply to your request as soon as possible. If your request has not been answered within 4 weeks of receipt, GoBoat will inform you of the reason for this and when a decision is expected to be available. Any inquiry about the above will only be answered if more than 6 months have elapsed since your last request unless you can demonstrate a particular interest in getting the information earlier.

Correctness Of Data

  1. The processing of your personal data will be organized so that the information can be updated when needed. Information that proves inaccurate or misleading will be promptly rectified or erased. You are responsible for providing us with information to help ensuring the correctness of your personal data.

Right Of Access

  1. Upon your written request, we will provide you with information on whether or not we process personal data concerning you. We will also provide you with information on 1) what information is processed, 2) the purposes, 3) the categories of recipients of the personal data and 4) available information about the source of the personal data.
  2. We will provide such information to you within 4 weeks from the date of receipt of your request. If we cannot provide such information to you within the stated 4 weeks after the date of receipt of your request, we will provide you with information of the reason for this and the time when the information is likely to be available.


  1. We use third party data processors to perform the technical operation of GoBoat. Sub data processing is carried out within the European Union. One sub processer, MailChimp is in the USA. The contract between GoBoat and MailChimp has included a standard contractual clause based on the requirements by the European Commission (GDPR). Please contact GoBoat for the contract. The database server is hosted in its own isolated environment protected by a firewall, which prevents the data from being directly accessible to any external party. The majority (database & main server) of our data is stored within the European Union, primarily in Ireland.
  2. We use the following sub data provider types:
    1. Technical data base provider
    2. Email marketing provider
    3. Payment processesing provider
    4. Heatmap and screen recording provider
    5. Statistics and website usage provider
  3. The sub data processors act solely on our instructions which are based on your instructions. The sub data processors have taken the necessary technical and organizational security measures to protect data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss or alteration and against the unauthorized disclosure, abuse or other processing in violation of applicable law.

  1. We may change our Privacy Policy at any given time. As a GoBoat account holder you should review our Privacy Policy regularly. Such changes shall come into force immediately. If you do not agree to the modified Privacy Policy, please stop using GoBoat. In the event of a conflict between this Privacy Policy and the modified terms, the modified terms shall apply. Your continued use of the Services provided by us after the date the modified terms are posted will constitute your acceptance of the modified Privacy Policy.
